Displaying the little ones

My main growing area is in a room in the basement, but I bring a few upstairs so other's may enjoy them too.
Here is an arrangement I made for the Christmas centerpieces. The long taper candle was removed but it  is a simple matter to push it into the aquarium gravel.  I just wrapped the bottom in tinfoil and left enough of a frill out to catch the wax drippings.  I believe clear saran wrap can be used for this purpose also.  The larger rocks are the "presents" my oldest son gave me one at a time when he was very young. The violets are in ice cream dixie cups with holes burned or drilled in the bottom

This is the other arrangement,  again done with a bag of aquarium gravel and the "presents" I received. The black rock is charcoal I wanted to look like a lake for the seashells and tiny turtles I found at a hobby shop. I dropped a few pearl beads by the shells.
